Here is my solution to a low calorie summer beverage for the holiday weekend:
Skinny White Sangria
(Thank you Bethenny Frankel)
8 peaches, pitted and sliced
4 white plums, pitted and sliced
1 pound green grapes, cut in half
3 bottles Prosecco (an Italian sparkling wine)
One 12-ounce can Fresca or diet lemon/lime soda
One 12-ounce can club soda
4 white plums, pitted and sliced
1 pound green grapes, cut in half
3 bottles Prosecco (an Italian sparkling wine)
One 12-ounce can Fresca or diet lemon/lime soda
One 12-ounce can club soda
Below is a picture of my version. I didn't exactly copy Bethenny's genius recipe but basically I put a bunch of fruit in some white wine with a bit of Fresca. It turned out AMAZING!
Nice!! Will definitely try. It looks so delicious. The only thing is cutting a pound of grapes in half...how long will it take!? :-) Love the "profile" picture of you raking beans, BTW. You look totally "belong"... Love your blog, Sarah.

Hi Sarah! I'm so glad you left your info at today's spin class - love your blog! I have been reading a lot of your entries. :) I read the one about the pushups every night....my question is: what if you can't do even ONE full correct pushup? I can do the knees, but not the real ones yet. Do I just keep doing the knee ones until I can do the real ones? :)
ReplyDeleteOK, can't wait to read more! :) See you next class.
Jane
Daisy!!! That may take awhile! Haha!
ReplyDeletePS - It turned out amazing!
xo,
Sarah
Jane - Like you I started not being able to even do 1 push up. Now 6 months later I can do 10 real pushups. I do 20 every night starting with as many real ones as possible then I drop to my knees. Eventually I will work my way to 20! Thanks for the great question and please continue to come to my class!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite words; Skinny and Sangria! This is something I MUST try! :) Thanks for sharing!
