Accessory To A Crime.....

.....Only if the crime is getting these earring for almost nothing.....HAHA.  I crack myself up sometimes.  I'm kind of obsessed with these earrings that I got for $4 at my favorite thrift store.  Who'd give these up???  Not me....

Happy Monday.

For the record I'm also obsessed with crunchy peanut butter and So You Think You Can Dance.
Don't judge.

How many pics does one need of an earring?  Apparently 5...obsession confirmed.

My 2 Degrees To Jacqueline Kennedy

OH how I love Jacqueline Kennedy!

I went to an exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery in DC in my mid 20's to see Jacqueline Kennedy's most famous outfits on display.  Her style was simple and attention to subtle detail sort of blew my mind.

How does this have anything to do with me?

Earlier this year I went to my FABULOUS tailor to have a celery green lace dress from the 80's transformed into something beautiful.  I loved the material and the dress had stylish potential.  Plus it was only $3 at the Goodwill in Fort Collins, CO.  I was almost in love.  The downside was the fact it was too long, too big and not the right fit.

Sidenote:  If you don't have a tailor you should get one.  Clothes look so much better when they fit YOUR body perfectly.

Ok, back to the point.  While my amazing tailor was fitting me she happened to mention she regularly tailored clothes for Jacqueline Kennedy....UM.....WHAT?!?  How did I not know this?  She said it was on her website which was a detail I clearly missed.  This explains why my celery lace dress (among other tailored items I have) turned out perfect.

Sidenote 2:  This pic was taken with a phone in a questionably lit room and I'm slouching like an idiot.    Had I been standing straight, the lighting was better the picture wasn't taken with a phone you'd see the dress turned out perfectly.  Even a guy in his 70's  stopped me on the street and told me how much he loved my dress.

There you have it.  My 2 degrees to Jackie-O!

What Time Is It? I've Got No CLUE!

What time is it?  Who CARES!

I love these two small watches I got in Vegas at Goodwill.  Do they tell time?  Nope, but they are TOTALLY awesome.  Plus, you know what is better than wearing one watch?  Yep, wearing 2....or 3 or 4 many instances.....(to be seen later).

So a little fun fact for you:
The gold watch by Halston is no longer made and has an interesting history.  Halston was a famous designer in the 50's that started designing hats.  But of course drugs got the best of him and his once popular brand took a nose dive but not before it was reinvented and purchased many times (by SJP for example).  Click here for Wikipidia's Halston 101.

I love a good accessory with a story!

Then we have the tacky 80's red watch with some super fabulous decoration.  I couldn't resist.  Who doesn't want fantastic arm bling?

Also, I woke up today excited to go to work.  I heart my job.  Sorry!  I know I am the minority and NOT the majority....

Even though I am wildly in love with my job the below still happens....

Is there anyone else out there who loves there job?
Tuesday!

Get Up & Gone?

So, I haven't blogged in FOREVER.  Why?  Because I've been doing this....

No.  Not standing around in my bathroom naked.

But doing more of this......

Ok, not staring at my creepy cat either....

Does this help?

Alright, alright.  I'm bad at this game so I'll just tell you

RELAXING.  Yes, nothing exciting (actually that's a lie but I'll get to that in future blogs).

I traveled like CRAZY for the first half of this year.  I'm finally able to breathe (and blog) again.

As part of my bathtub hiatus I have to admit I've been watching quite a bit of Netflix while soaking.  God bless Friday Night Lights & Arrested Development.  Great shows to watch while in the tub.  If you haven't watched while in the tub I HIGHLY recommend it.

I've got a few more hours left in the weekend so I'm off for some final relaxing....until tomorrow.

Wow. And I Thought I Was Crazy.

Confession:  I'm obsessed with documentaries and I'm not apologizing for it.  I'm a dork and totally okay it......

Now I know I'm a little bit crazy.  I realize not every thought that pops in my head is a sane one.

Then I watched a clip from the documentary
Married To The Eiffel Tower.  Once I checked it out on line (here) it made me realize I'm WAY more sane than originally thought.

Have you every heard of object sexuality?  Well it's when people are in love with objects and not people.  One woman claimed to be married to the Eiffel Tower.  If you're ever having a bad day or think you're "strange" or "weird" or "crazy" check out this documentary and realize you are NOT.......

This woman claims she is married to the Eiffel Tower. The woman after her is having an affair with the Golden Gate Bridge.

This girl has an exclusive relationship with a wall in Berlin.

Now you must excuse me while I go on a romantic date with my washing machine....

I'm Just Not That Into You.....

Dear Candy Sitting In My House-

Halloween is over.  I haven't called, texted or tweeted you since then.  I'm just not that into you. Please stop making google eyes at me and screaming my name and trying to tempt me to be with you.  It isn't happening.  I'm not falling for it.  Please go away.

How long is it going to take to get rid of you?

New Music Suggestions and My Drew Barrymore Attempt

Thank you to everyone who entered the

I received SO many INCREDIBLE music choices!

A few of my favorites so far are:

We Found Love by Rihanna (feat Calvin Harris) suggested by Katy @ Fit In Heels

Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
This is a GREAT spinning warm up song!
suggested by

A Kiss by Bad Meets Evil
suggested by oatsnbows

Heads Will Roll by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Bad Influence by Pink
suggested by footbeats

Ok, here are 3 songs (including routine) that you can add to your run.

You Make The Rain Fall by Kevin Rudolf & Flo Rider
Routine:  Steady run adding a sprint during the loop of the song.  The sprint is about 30 seconds.

Sing for the Moment by Eminem
Routine: On a treadmill start at incline 1.0 and add 0.5 every 30 seconds.  When it gets to the chorus of the song pick up your speed.

Dancing on My Own by Robyn
Routine:  Sprint for 45 seconds and walk for 15.  Repeat.

I got motivated by the make-up Drew Barrymore is wearing in the Cover Girl ad......

I made my best attempt to copy the look...

I tried to copy Drew's facial expression in this picture but I ended up looking like a ding a ling.  So I just smiled which is my natural state.....

Not going to lie....my make up work area was a hot mess....

I was rockin some serious tunes and singing in my hairbrush (photos not included thankfully)......

While I LOVE MAC make up it is pretty pricey so I've found the next best thing....H.I.P.  It is reasonably priced, found at Target and lasts ALL DAY LONG.  Love this stuff.  My sister-in-law who always has perfect make up on her face let me know about this inexpensive replacement to MAC.

After I cleaned up I put all my make-up back in its home.....

Then I threw on this outfit and headed out to run some errands......

I asked Squiggy & Lenny what they thought.....

They clearly didn't appreciate being woken from their nap.

From Fantastic to Freezing?

I went from FANTASTIC last weekend:

To FREEZING this weekend:

Is mother nature upset with me?

Thankfully last weekend I took advantage of the 65 degree sunny and crisp Fall weather at Bluemont Winery

I live in wine country so lots of my free time is spent outside sipping local wine and cheese.

Me & my two girlfriends went out for the day.

We had quite the spread...

And quite the view (not sure if we admired the greenery or cheese spread more)...

This pretty much NEVER gets old to me.....

Cheers!

I finally got to whip out my favorite denim jacket. The jacket doesn't have a ruffle it's just the dress I'm wearing underneath....the ruffle would just be odd.

Do you have something you LOVE to do in your neck of the woods on perfect weather days?

What about on snow days?  Do you go play in the snow or lay on the couch like me?
