This weekend I had date night with my husband. We went and saw Les Miserables. I was BEYOND excited as I love, love, LOVE musicals and shows. Some of my favorites include Love (vegas Cirque show), Mamma Mia, Wicked....you get the picture.
Sadly, I thought Les Mis was Les Lame. Maybe I'm lame. But this story line didn't make sense and was kind of boring....
The highlight of the evening was Fro Yo after the
show and my outfit which I found for $5. That was
LESS than the cost of my Fro Yo.
If you are thinking I look like a sailor that is because I do....and I don't even care because that's how much I LOVE this dress.
Here is my husband. He isn't so bad on the eyes I must say....plus he is kinda stylish and picks out a lot of my clothes. He CLEARLY has good taste by his selection of wife.....HAHA.
Happy Monday!
"He who does not weep, does not see" one of my favorite lines from Les Mis...also one of my favorite musicals...so sad you didn't like it...perhaps it was the actors...or maybe you wenren't ready...it's a pretty MISERABLE story...anyway...miss you..and love this dress! I think Sailors are sexy and you my friend are no exception...I need to get caught up on your blog!

I am a musical FAN..and I still have not seen Les Mis. I am curious now after reading this..which way I'll sway in my opinion! Love your outfit! Super cute!!
ReplyDeleteI think I need froyo now.
I hate to even say it, I've never been to a musical like that. I just don't feel like I would be a fan. Great you all were able to get a date night though. I love those!! :)
ReplyDeleteLes Mis is my favorite all time book. I wept at the end. It was fabulous. I have seen the musical too and it has some great music but it is all music and I think if you don't know the story than it is hard to follow. So my suggestion is read the book.
ReplyDeleteClearly! ha!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm sorry you didn't like Les Mis- it's of my faves (I love the music!) Your theatre outfit is great and so is your hubby's- my man and I went to the theatre this weekend and I had to pick out his outfit, otherwise he would have worn a hoodie, jeans and sneakers!
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved Les Mis but maybe it just wasn't a good performance. Cute dress, you look fabulous. And yes, obviously hubby has fantastic taste to have picked YOU!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE musicals and plays! Maybe I'm a little partial to them because I was in them all through high school. I wish I could be in those professional musicals SO much...I basically get teary eyed whenever I watch a play because there is so much nostalgia. And maybe I'm a baby. Hah! Too bad we don't live closer...we could go to musicals all the time! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the dress, but the shoes ....
*drooool*
Oh no I love your dress, looks very 50's if you ask me :-)
ReplyDeleteYou guys look great! I hated Les Mis as well. Gimme some Mamma Mia or Lion King please and thanks. I don't have time for boring, sad and slow. I want to see Wicked so bad!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress...and the red shoes set it off!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Les Mis. I had to read it for French class in hs and warptched the movie. When I had the opportunity to see the musical I was pumped and thoroughly enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteYour a cute sailor :)
ReplyDeleteAw, sad that you didn't like Les Mis. I got to see it in London last year and actually cried. Then again, I am also doing my MA in French, so that might have helped? Who knows. Regardless, that navy-esque outfit you have on there is adorable! :)
